The UK Green Film Network was set up in 2023 by a group of cinemas in order to share ideas around Environmental film programming, and to reduce the amount of work required to screen inspiring films in the face of the Climate Crisis.
The network was set up by the following cinemas and coordinates its actions through e-mail and regular online meetings.

The network is made up of Full Members comprising
- Independent cinemas in the UK
- Major circuits operating in the UK
- Experts willing to participate in post-film panel discussions
and of Associate Members including
- Film makers from around the world
- Film distributors operating in the UK
For the time being membership is free, although this may change depending on numbers and the availability of funding. The network is currently funded by ticketing software provider Savoy Systems Ltd as part of its commitment to people and planet.
